Circling (the End of the Sea ?)

In a fishing village, there was a controversy about the extent of the sea. An old man told villagers to follow him, saying that he would lead them to the place where they can see the end of the sea. Villagers followed him and arrived at the very beach in front of the village. The old man said, "This is the end of the sea." Villagers were confused and said, "Is this the place ? This beach is the beginning of the sea."

He said, "The beginning of the sea is the end of the sea."
