Reincarnations - (Back Sung-wook's Story)
3 lives ago, he was a sutra lecturer and his teacher was a zen practician. One day he heard his teacher was going to die. When he got to his teacher, he was ready to die, sitting in lotus posture. However, when he came to death line, he leaned his body and stretched his legs, supposedly by lack of mental power. He got dissatisfied with the scene, because he was proudly confident of easily taking off his body, the clothes of life. A few decades passed and he faced his own death. It was not so easy to overcome the pain. It was like cutting out flesh and breaking bones. He stood up for the pain, held up his arms, held up his legs one by one and at last died sitting down plump. Not knowing this, his disciples saw this and thought that his teacher died dancing for joy. Meantime, his spirit couldn't find a way to go out, because it was confused by the pain and got surrouded by darkness. Just then, one monk went out opening the door of the room and his spirit followed him. The spirit stuck to a woman over a hill the monk associated with. Thus he was born again. When he was 7 month old, his mother left him at a cozy place for her working at a field, but the sun was too hot at noon and he died again. Shortly, he was borne again by another woman and had a habit to break things nearby in childhood, because of carrying the anger he had when he died under the hot sunlight.
