When to Peach

Kyungheo once resided in Chunjangsa temple. When some people asked him the truth, he kept silence all day long and any time others offer rice wine, he preached all day long after drinking. His student Mangong complained and said, "You should be equal to the public as a monk, but how can you be so partial ?" Kyungheo said definately, "Well, preach is a thing to do under the influence of liquor, not a thing to do sanely." Then, Mangong realized Kyungheo's depth of Dharma.
